Four medallions and a letter: Gabriel & Co.'s charm necklace, edited
Four charms hang from a single chain, graduating in scale. An 18mm Bujukan medallion paved with 0.80 carats of natural diamonds. A 24mm Taurus medallion, the bull's constellation inside a border of small gold spheres. A 24mm diamond-cut medallion in 14K white and yellow gold, its rays split by chrome blue enamel. And largest at 25mm, a diamond-set letter — J.
Above them sits a 14K yellow gold paperclip chain, and above that a strand of gold spheres — the Bujukan signature, which Gabriel & Co. describes as exuding power without imposing it. Three lengths, three textures, one metal temperature.
Every medallion arrives on a detachable bail, and every chain is separate. Nothing is fixed, so July's necklace need not be December's. The line runs past a hundred designs — evil eye, hamsa, clover, twelve zodiac signs, every letter from A to Z — worked in 14K gold with GIA-certified natural diamonds and enamel. Jack and Dominick Gabriel founded the house in New York in 1989 after training in their father's Lebanese workshop; what they built is a grammar, not a sentence.
The open-collar hour. Crisp ivory cotton poplin unbuttoned to the sternum, tucked into high-waisted indigo denim — the pairing Jessica Alba wore for a summer shoot as the brand's first celebrity ambassador. The V does the framing, so the charms fall into open skin, not onto fabric. Loose waves, gold hoops, a bangle stack repeating the blue and adding green.
Evening reverses the method. Black silk cut on the bias, a low square neck, hair swept off entirely — and two charms only, the letter and the pavé disc. Against matte black, gold reads as sculpture.
Autumn wants camel. A double-faced wool coat over an oatmeal cashmere V-neck, the chain shortened to sixteen inches so the medallions rest on the knit rather than sliding beneath it.
None of this is isolated. Dua Lipa landed in New York this summer in Chloé's Paddington necklace, Michael Rider sent oversized charm necklaces down Celine's autumn/winter 2026 runway, and Rihanna has worn medallion disks on long chains for years.
These four charms belong to one person. Yours would be a different letter, a different sign, a different blue — which is not a limit of the design. It is the design.
